About Us - Applied Behavior Analysis

Vida for Autism’s (VIDA) primary focus is to help the underserved diverse community and their families succeed and give them the needed tools to navigate social environments throughout their many stages of development. VIDA’s program design sets us apart and puts us in a path to excel in this field in part because as a care provider, we will ensure equal access to behavioral health care services for all members including Limited English Proficient (LEP) members.

What is Autism?

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability that affects an individual’s ability to socially communicate and socially interact with others. Individuals diagnosed with ASD may also engage in restricted, repetitive patterns of behaviors that are abnormal. ASD is considered and described as “spectrum condition” because deficits and behaviors manifest in individuals differently and to varying degrees. Early diagnosis and intervention, as well as access to appropriate services such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), can lead to significantly improved outcomes.
